U:fon, the newest addition to the Czech telcom market, is an emerging challenger to the established brands. As marketing consultant to U:fon, I created and piloted a unique experienced-based marketing promotion to help build consumer trust, create brand awareness, drive sales channel growth and create a new mobile, on-site direct sales channel for each promotion. The result? Branding reached over 250,000 people with direct contact with more than 70,000 people. In addition, direct sales surpassed target goals in just under 10 weeks.

Additionally, I consulted on several other marketing projects including segmentation & direct mailing, non-standard internet marketing; viral campaigns, micro sites, and assisted in tendering a new full-service advertising and marketing agency for 2009 and beyond.

GE Money Bank

GE Money, CR, one of the top five banks in Czech Republic, has been on a continual growth trend as a result of the excellence of its products, improved customer service and aggressive marketing. As a marketing consultant to GE Money (GEMB) I have worked on various projects for them, including their marketing campaign in relation to the 2009 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. The campaign called for elaborate promotional events and complimentary marketing materials, which I developed and implemented. Additionally, I was managing all logistics and VIP hospitality while on the ground in Beijing during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The project required regular and direct coordination with the Czech Olympic Committee, the Czech Embassy in China and the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic, as well as various contractual partners of GEMB.

The Expat Business Association

The Expat Business Association (EBA), before its successful merger with IBF, was a non-profit association of more than 100 members promoting and supporting ethical business in the Czech Republic. As founder, president and CEO of the Expat Business Association, I created all image, sales and marketing plans and PR, including all EBA print and electronic materials, sales and marketing materials, website, logo and general brand imaging. In the course of hosting more than 30 high-level events (ranging from large scale diplomatic, political, business events and charity gala evenings to intimate networking get-togethers, seminars and panel discussions) since EBA’s inception in 2003, I have developed a substantial and valuable network of top CEOs, diplomats, politicians, and SME owners.

High-lights have included generating more than 1 million CZK for various Czech charities through the production of live charity auctions of donated items during the 2006 & 2007 EBA Gala Evenings and raising sponsorships above regular membership fees for the purpose of carrying out major events. In 2006 & 2007 more than 2.2 million CZK in additional funds were raised for such events.

Western Touch

Western Touch, a company I founded in 2002, was an industry leader in quality maintenance and cleaning services for all of the Czech Republic, serving such clients as Česká Spořitelna, Droxi Drogerie (now Schlecker), Four Seasons Hotel, large office complexes and VIP residential clients such as ambassadors, pop stars, and CEOs of large multinational companies. My aim was a successful business based on quality cleaning services for the high-end market while remaining competitive. Integral to the company’s success was direct marketing to potential clients; to that end, I developed branding, scripting sales and marketing materials in both electronic and print versions, in addition to developing systems and procedures for quality management. Leading a small management team and a work force of up to 30 employees, I succeeded in pushing sales in 2005 to nearly 4,000 times the original investment.
